Own Topic -What is graphic Design ?

Graphic design can come in many different forms, it can be digital based such as computers and using softwares such as Adobe , illustrator , photoshop and indesign , but it can also be analogue using things by hand and relying on their raw talent to get things done ,which one is best ? well i think , they both have their plus points but in the end i guess it comes down to personal choice .and whatever you feel comfortable with , i know that graphic design can not be defined by either side , because a true graphic designer , should be able to be partly both digital and analogue , Graphics is a wide range of things and can not be narrowed down to one thing , being a student studying graphic designer myself , i feel a lot more confident using the digital side , but their are those that may argue that its more lazy that way , and that there is a lot to say for the old fashion way as its more real , and using your actual talent and not relying one some top technology to get things done

Own Topic - Science Museum designs throughout the ages part 2

This was an energy transmitter , people had to spin the energy into the fan rather then like now days they just press a button and it spins , in the olden days they had to do most of the work , i started to think about how our generation have go lazy and rely on technology working for them .

There was a future part which was full of computers and it just goes to show that he future is heading towards letting technology work for them and do all the work , and then things such as money , and working out stuff , will seise to exist .
and in a way this relates to graphics , everyone is trying to change graphics to digital and stopping that Manuel way , such as drawing , with pencil and paper instead of doing everything in programmes such as illustrator . photoshop , there is a lot to be said about the old fashion way of doing things .
When you go to Museums , you see how the world used to be and hoe life used to be lived and how people relied on themselves and their power to get things done , rather then electricity and technology , even i have become a little dependent on technology , if my internet goes i just loose the will to live life should be about learning to do things on your own .

Own Topic - Science museum designs throughout the ages part 1

I could not define what i had seen in the science Museum in only one post so i have split it in 2

This real interested me an old Fashion camera , Its was so weird to see , how camera used to look and now how compact they are , because i used to be interested in photography , i got to know the sorts of camera we had to use ,and this camera was so old and weird .

As a graphic Designer , Mac are sort of implied and needed , so when i saw that this was the first mac out i actually laughed , as its not at all what you see in the shop now , they are really thin and good looking , these are what we used to call box computers ,it makes you grateful how far technology as came throughout the years .

This is a film camera , that my mum said , he mum used to have one like , and its mad to know that people in this time and year , still has these things , on my photography course , we had to get one of these in order to know photography well  and the history of it and know it from the basis .

Own Topic -British Designs Exhibition

At the V&A went to an exhibition , called British Design , I found it really Fascinating , as there was designs throughout the years , As a student studying Graphic Design , i found this exhibition very beneficial , it shows how times have changed , and also it shows how in graphic design , its like technology keeps changing never stays still and what I found even more interesting was that one day , work that I do and produce may be put in an exhibition like this , i used this exhibition as inspiration for a load of my graphic design projects mainly the logos etc. , and even Isotopes were in this exhibition which is something i want to work in , in the future ,
This exhibition related to a load of art courses , product design , graphic design and loads more , the objects that have been created , its so interesting to see how things change , and is only new for a short time , before something bigger and better takes the place of it .
I love exhibitions like this , with people creative work , which creates inspiration for future pieces of work

Own Topic -How had Typography Changed throughout the years ?

I have been studying Typography , and I started to look at different Typography Posters and I started to wonder how typography has changed throughout the years and how styles have became more complex and changed .

This was a poster from the 1950's look how simple it is , and basic .

This was a poster in the 1960's , so its 10 years later then the one above , see how the styles have became more effective and how its been played with a bit more to create more interest .
This is a typography poster throughout the 2000's and you can already see how the letter and typefaces have started to dominate the picture and take shape into a bigger image .

From what I have gathered looking at all these different typography posters is that the posters are just like technology , more complex and more built into them the posters are just changing through the times and trying to keep up to date with the years ,
I do like how the posters have started with simple ones like just the wording on the poster to not which has words in shape of the actual idea of the poster .

Artist 3 - Barney Bubbles

I picked these two images of Barney Bubbles work , because they are very strong images that speak volumes , i also picked it because one is simple , yet speaks a lot and the other one is complex looking yet means simple,
He designs records sleeves which is what the 1st one symbolises , with the record players.
A load of his works have meaning and speak through their designs.
in his designs for the record sleeves you really get to see what works and how he portrays the music lyrics etc into the design to make it come to life in the image .

He has about 90 sleeve covers which he designed .

the three at the top are all different but yet they speak the same , and show the music style through the drawing .

I picked this artist because i like music anyway so the designs drew my attention and seen as my mum has loads of records i do notice certain styles and that is why i was attracted to the designs of this artist .

Artist 2 - Olly Moss

Olly Moss , is an english designer , graphic designer and illustrator , each image shows another meaning in it , its like the illustration is illiterate yet hidden , like the one on the top left hand corner , which is a seesaw , the use the saw and make it into a sea was well the show this by having a boat on it , i really thought it was cleverly done , the other one is just above , which is like a t but had patterns relating to the message they are trying to get across inside , because i am doing typography i noticed the style .
The one that looks like a toothbrush was was really interesting , it was called the Chicago sleepover , its represents this in the toothbrush image , by the brush bit being in shape of Chicago city and the the toothbrush itself representing the sleepover bit , all his posters are cleverly thought and planned out .

I picked this Artist because i liked the idea of the double meaning art , you see one thing yet it means something else , like little designs rolled into one , this artist is very fascinating .
